End of Semester Concert Baroque Ensemble and Early Voices by Asia TOPA

The Early Music Studio and Early Voices present an end-of-semester concert showcasing student performances of Baroque and early music works on May 23, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hanson Dyer Hall in Southbank. The program features Telemann’s Ouverture-Suite, sonatas by Gussago and Alberti, recorder and cello consorts, and Henry Purcell’s Fairy Queen suite, funeral music, and Ode to St Cecilia. Tutors including Donald Nicolson and Rachael Beesley guide ensembles, with soloists like Lucy Nieuwesteeg and Orvokki Britton. This student-led event highlights 17th- and 18th-century European chamber music, sacred works, and dramatic pageantry inspired by Shakespeare. Wheelchair accessibility is provided at the venue.
