Jazz and Improvisation Large Ensemble Feast by Lionel's Cafe

The Jazz and Improvisation Large Ensemble Feast is a single-day showcase on 14 May 2026, from 6pm to 10pm at Lionel's Lounge and Red Studio 3 in Southbank, Melbourne. Twelve large ensembles from the Jazz and Improvisation department perform eclectic contemporary improvisation, featuring groups like Conjuress directed by Andrea Keller, Masters & Apprentices by Carlo Barbaro, Big Band Mini by Vanessa Perica, and others alternating between venues. Emerging improvisers and staff present diverse repertoire in this faculty-hosted event at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music. Refreshments include an open bar and pizza truck, with wheelchair-accessible venues and free general admission.
