New Old Borrowed Blue by Melbourne Recital Centre

The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music Concert Band presents New Old Borrowed Blue, a single-day concert on 20 May 2026 from 7pm to 8pm at Kenneth Myer Auditorium in Southbank. The program blends brand-new works by Australian composers like Taylee Jurekie-Rofe and Holly Harrison with classics such as Debussy's The Girl With The Flaxen Hair, featuring piano soloist Evelyn Li and conducted by Chris Day. It spans generations of wind band music, including marches, trombone quartets, and symphonic pieces by Berlioz and others. The event highlights the evolution and reimagination of contemporary wind band repertoire. All venues are wheelchair accessible.
