Chrysalis Exhibition Opening by Social Walks Melbourne

CHRYSALIS is a meditation on metamorphosis, exploring transformations like the moon's phases, cell division, growth, and grubs becoming butterflies. This immersive installation features Lachlan Plain’s sculptures, paintings, and handcrafted animations, accompanied by Nick Wilson’s composition for guitar and prayer bowl. The exhibition opening takes place on 9 April 2026 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Loft 275 Ivanhoe Library & Cultural Hub. Presented by Banyule City Council and Melbourne International Animation Festival, the full exhibition runs until 10 May 2026 with a special screening on 7 May. A limited edition chap book complements the experience. General admission is free, with optional chap book tickets available.
