Sonatas & Stars features internationally acclaimed pianist Dr. Donna Coleman in a unique program blending classical sonatas and jazz at Barwon Heads Arts Hub. The performance on 19 April 2026 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM includes works by Baldassare Galuppi, Ludwig van Beethoven's ethereal Opus 109, George Antheil's Jazz Sonata, Aaron Copland, and Bill Evans masterpieces, framed by cosmic themes. Additional highlights are a new composition by Australian Melody Eötvös, Camille Saint-Saëns' Fantaisie op. 124 for violin and harp, and Nigel Westlake's Beneath the Midnight Sun. Dr. Coleman collaborates with her jazz band Quintessence, offering improvisations inspired by stars and the universe. Tickets are priced from $15 for members to $20 for visitors.
