Cinco de Mayo Mexican History Culture and Cuisine Festival by Generation Yogi

The Cinco de Mayo Mexican History, Culture and Cuisine Festival is a single-day event on 2 May 2026 at the North Adelaide Community Centre Hall, running from 12pm to 6:30pm ACST with three dedicated sessions in English and Spanish. It features a showcase of Mexican history including the Battle of Puebla, regional customs from states like Puebla, Chiapas, Veracruz, Tabasco, and Yucatán, along with music, storytelling, and traditional food. Each ticket includes a tamal of choice and a cup of champurrado, a hot chocolate-maize drink. Sessions start at 1:00pm (English), 2:30pm (Español), and 4:00pm (English), with attendees asked to arrive 15 minutes early. The event is supported by a grant from the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, offering an educational and family-oriented experience.
