The School Holiday Program with Shell Art is a single-day interactive workshop at the Marine Discovery Centre on 16 April 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00. Children participate in guided shell art creation, live fish feeding, a guided marine trail, and explore aquariums, virtual reality headsets, Kaurna learning stations, and hands-on games focused on South Australia's marine environments. All art materials are provided, and creations can be taken home. Designed for families, it requires one parent per child (free ticket), with children under 3 free but not in the art workshop. The centre, operating since 1997, emphasizes ecological sustainability and Aboriginal culture.
