Hahndorf Echoes of the Past is a heritage screening event featuring a 45-minute documentary exploring the stories of Prussian immigrants who fled religious persecution to settle in South Australia in 1838. Filmed in Hahndorf with interviews from descendants and featuring guest presenter Keith Conlon, it highlights themes of faith, resilience, and cultural identity through historic imagery and evocative locations. The event includes a small display of German building tools and a short talk on Germanic architecture. Scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM ACST at the Heysen Room in The Haus Restaurant, Hahndorf. An optional Hahndorf After Dark Walking Tour with meal follows at 6:30 PM.
