Basketry Exhibition by Pepper Street Arts Centre

The Basketry SA Inc. exhibition at Pepper Street Arts Centre showcases traditional and contemporary basketry inspired by diverse sources, fibres, and techniques, including ethnic and indigenous methods, ranging from practical pieces to sculptural forms. On Saturday, 2 May 2026, from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, visitors can attend informal artist demonstrations by Christine Ford and Vanessa Peterson on colour and form in basketry, and a 'Meet the Maker' session with Victoria Wilkins featuring hands-on fibre introduction. Trading tables with functional and decorative items from local fibres are available on Saturday afternoons during the exhibition, excluding 25 April. The exhibition runs until Friday, 22 May 2026, at 4 pm. No bookings are required, though standing is expected in these voluntary, interactive sessions.
