Echoes of Exploration is a single-day historical society talk showcasing discoveries and research on Colonel William Light's campsite rediscovered at Rapid Bay, named by the South Australia Colonial Surveyor General after his landing on 8 September 1836. The presentation covers how Rapid Bay served as a base camp for Light and his survey crew from November to January. Attendees will hear the research findings and view artifacts from the site.
