Secret Garden Sourdough Workshop by Secret Garden Playgroup

The Secret Garden Sourdough Workshop is a hands-on, educational single-day event for children aged 4-12, held on April 16, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Mount Lofty Scout Hall in Stirling. Participants explore the history, science of fermentation, and practical skills of sourdough baking, including creating a starter from scratch, baking bread rolls and focaccia, and making butter. The session incorporates outdoor nature play, group discussions, and a fun naming ceremony for take-home starters, all in a calm, bushland setting.
