Burnt Earth Bonyi Bounty by Steve Parish - Nature Connect Pty Ltd

Burnt Earth: Bonyi Bounty is a one-off sensory dining event featuring four local First Nations chefs—Aunty Dale Chapman, Chris Jordan, Tanika Orr, and Kara Pulou—exploring native ingredients and cooking rituals. Set at Tranquil Park in Maleny amid rainforest landscapes with Glasshouse Mountains views, it includes fire-based cooking, storytelling, performances, and a slow dining experience from entrées to sweets. Optional pre-events feature a guided rainforest walk and Medicinal Plants opening at nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. Scheduled for May 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM AEST, all food and beverages are included in the ticket price. The event celebrates connection to Country and cultural continuity as part of the Horizon Festival.
