Basket Weaving and Fibre Craft by Northey Street City Farm

The Basket Weaving and Fibre Craft workshop on April 11, 2025, is a hands-on event designed for young people aged 13 to 17. Participants will learn traditional weaving techniques, including the Coil Weave Technique, while crafting their own small baskets using natural fibres. The workshop emphasizes sustainability and local resource use, providing a unique opportunity to connect with nature and develop practical skills. Led by Silja Leskinen from the Muddy Hands Project, this engaging event will take place at Northey Street City Farm from 9 AM to 3 PM.
