Maloya Dance Workshop by no_organiser

The Maloya Dance Workshop, led by Katy Toave from Réunion Island, will take place on April 8, 2026, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Over the Moon Yoga and Dance Studios in Castlemaine. This workshop focuses on Maloya, a UNESCO-recognized music and dance style with deep historical roots. Participants will learn about the cultural significance of Maloya and experience its vibrant movements firsthand. Katy Toave, leader of the first all-female Maloya band, SIMANGAVOLE, brings her extensive experience to this engaging workshop.
