This single-day author event celebrates the debut award-winning novel Life Drawing by Emily Lighezzolo, a provocative literary romance exploring themes of art, gaze, desire, consent, and women's autonomy. Attendees join a conversation with the author and panelists on relating to the body, art, and gaze, followed by two short life drawing sessions starting at 7pm. The event takes place on 16 April 2026 from 6pm to 8pm ACST at The Art Shed in Ciccone, NT, hosted by Red Kangaroo Books, Alice Springs' independent bookshop. The novel follows Maisie and Charlie's connection from a life-drawing session, navigating friendship and family over two decades.
