Martin’s Music for Solo Cello by Women Want Adventure

This single-day solo cello concert features cellist Rachel performing works by the late Australian composer Martin Wesley-Smith, whose music profoundly influenced her career. The event launches her new recording project of his complete solo cello compositions, including pieces for cello alone, singing cellist, and the audio-visual work ‘Welcome to the Hotel Turismo’. Held on 26 April 2026 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM AEST at Kangaroo Valley Hall, where Martin lived much of his life, it begins with a glass of wine at 5:30 PM before the 6:00 PM start. Attendees can expect an emotional journey of laughter, tears, wonder, and pleasure, with CDs and digital downloads available for purchase.
