Garden Lounge Creative Space hosts its signature Poetry & Song open mic event on the second Thursday of every month at 8:52 Hong Kong Restaurant in Newtown. Doors open at 6:00 PM with registrations starting then, performances from 6:15 PM to 8:30 PM, and the night wrapping up at 9:30 PM on May 8, 2026, and subsequent second Thursdays. All art forms are welcome, including poetry, music, comedy, monologues, and non-verbal performances, with each act limited to 5-7 minutes and in-person sign-up required.
