Across the Universe by Jaslyn Brown

Across the Universe offers an exploratory reimagining of The Beatles' music by Sydney musicians Ben Daley on guitar, Gary Daley on piano and accordion, Nic Cecire on drums, and Brendan Clark on bass. The performance transforms familiar songs through groove, texture, improvisation, and interplay, allowing melodies to shift and evolve. Held as a single evening event on 13 May 2026 from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Newtown Mission Church, it takes place in the intimate setting of the no-profit jazz venue Eight O'Clock Sharp. Attendees can bring their own food, with tea, coffee, and water provided, and the venue is fully accessible despite its age.
