Beat Generation launches as a new night blending spoken word, live acoustic music, and electronic dance music with DJs at Mullumbimby Civic Memorial Hall. The event on May 16, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 11:55 PM features local poets AlleyKat (Kathleen Angus) and Paul C Pritchard, acoustic performer TRILLA from the Gold Coast, and DJs Visceral and Annaki Kissas (Sex Intents). Inspired by past Sydney party scenes, it aims to create a space for mingling, flirting, dancing, and letting go in the Byron Shire. The lineup brings diverse talents with backgrounds in poetry, soulful vocals, and electronic sets from festivals like Burning Man.
