Dark House Arise Live Premiere by The Imperial Erskineville

Dark House launches as a late-night series for music, art, and expressive release, kicking off with the live premiere of (A)RISE by Wiradjuri/Gadigal artist Akala Newman at The Imperial Erskineville on April 16, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM. This immersive ritual expands her new EP, developed during a Greece residency and supported by Sound NSW, blending contemporary pop, moving images, spoken storytelling, language, and embodied movement to explore renewal, feminine strength, and collective transformation following her debut EP (A)VOID. The evening features a smoking ceremony, special guests Tillow and AGUM, the main performance with Rei (NZ) and Tynga Williams, and closes with DJ Lady Chika. Presented by Dark House Night, it centers First Nations, BiPOC, and queer artists as the after-dark evolution of Gili Gatherings.
