Expressive Portraits Drawing in Mixed Media by no_organiser

This one-day workshop on May 9, 2026, at Hanke Studio in North Sydney introduces participants to expressive portrait drawing using mixed media and unconventional tools like sticks, tennis balls, spoons, and masking tape. Led by artist Jody Graham, it guides attendees through constructing front-facing portraits, experimenting with ink, color, and collage, and embracing creative accidents to loosen up their drawing style. Suitable for absolute beginners to experienced artists, the session runs from 10:00 to 16:00 and provides a relaxed environment with guided exercises, demonstrations, and morning tea. Participants will create multiple unique artworks and leave with new skills and inspiration. Note that the upstairs venue is not wheelchair accessible.
