Still Life & Biro Worlds by Wollongong Art Gallery

Still Life & Biro Worlds is a single-day art workshop designed for 9–14-year-olds, led by artist and educator Sharon Mearing at Wollongong Art Gallery on 16 April 2026 from 10:00 to 15:00. Inspired by the Architecture of Feeling exhibition, participants will sketch still life arrangements of Kirsten Coelho’s ceramic forms, create layered mixed-media collages, and produce expressive blue biro artworks in the style of Danie Mellor. The session offers a deep dive into contemporary art, materials, and emotion through hands-on activities. Practical notes include a minimum of 8 participants required, supervised breaks with nut-free meals, and attire suitable for messy artmaking. Tickets cost $55 plus a booking fee and are non-transferable.
